The Ahmedabad to Surat drive is one of the busiest intercity routes in Gujarat. Most of it is on the six-lane NH 48 via Vadodara and Bharuch.
Distance and time
The road distance is about 265 km. In normal traffic the drive takes 4.5 to 5 hours with one short stop.
Tolls
There are three to four toll plazas on the way. On Saarthi Cab one way bookings for this route, toll is included in the fare.
Where to stop
- Vadodara bypass – tea and snacks
- Bharuch – lunch stop near the Narmada bridge
- Ankleshwar – fuel and clean washrooms
One way or round trip?
If you are coming back the same day, a round trip works out cheaper. If you will stay in Surat or return by train, book one way and pay only for the drop.
